The system is to be provided to instructed personnel when leaving radiation protection areas at FAIR, so-called areas with radiation protection requirements (German: Bereiche mit Strahlenschutz-Anforderungen, or BSA), to detect and to quantify radioactive contamination on hands and feet as well as on their clothing.
