1.0 DESCRIPTION THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Procurement Office (EPO), formerly the Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC), is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to identify qualified sources with the capability and resources to meet the Veterans Health Administration s (VHA) Non-Expendable Equipment National Program requirement for Scanning Systems Ultrasonic Portable. The EPO in conjunction with VHA is seeking qualified sources capable of supplying the brand name or equal Fujifilm® Sonosite Scanning Systems Ultrasonic Portable machines on an agency-wide basis. VA is contemplating the award of a single Requirements Contract with Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) orders IAW FAR 16.503, Requirements Contracts, to a supplier of this equipment. Respondents will be required to deliver complete ultrasonic scanning systems to VA medical centers and facilities throughout the United States. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing and the associated size standard is 1,250 employees. The FAR Provision found at 52.204-7 requires that The Offeror shall have an active Federal Government contracts registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) when submitting an offer or quotation. You may access the SAM website at SAM.gov | Home. All respondents must be certified with the appropriate NAICS code on the SAM website. All SDVOSB/VOSB respondents must be verified in the SBA database at: https://www.sba.gov/veterans/#vetcert at the time of submission. There is no solicitation available at this time. 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK Scanning Systems Ultrasonic Portable are compact devices that use high frequency sound waves for real-time internal body imaging. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) imaging is routinely used by medical clinicians to guide interventional percutaneous procedures such as vascular access, nerve blocks, and therapeutic injections. Ultrasonic scanning systems have an ultrasonic scanner, transducers (frequencies of 2 to 12 MHz are typical for vascular and abdominal scanning, procedure guidance, and nerve blocks), dedicated software, DICOM software for PACS compatibility and image storage, and an image recorder. Most ultrasonic scanners include continuous-wave and pulsed-wave Doppler capabilities (including a spectrum analyzer) for sensing the velocity and location of blood flow; they can be operated in multiple modes, including color flow mapping mode and triplex mode (i.e., simultaneous acquisition…
