Canada’s objectives of the RFI are to seek information from suppliers to: Inform industry of the high-level requirements of this anticipated procurement and request suppliers to describe their ability to satisfy the requirement and/or provide their suggestions on how the eventual solicitation might be structured.Assess the marketplace with respect to the existence of suppliers who have experience with the IHO S-100 Universal Hydrographic Data Model and S-100 based Product Specifications. This information will assist Canada in developing or refining a procurement strategy and defining other aspects of the requirement.Become a more informed buyer with an enhanced understanding of industry and the goods and service offerings in the areas of interest.
