The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Tanzania Food Systems Resilience Program (TFSRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Installation of Agricultural Research Lab Equipment and Tools for Kizimbani Unguja and Matangatuani Pemba. The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, Natural Resources and Livestock (MAINRL) Zanzibar now invites sealed Bids from eligible National Bidders for Supply and Installation of Agricultural Research Lab Equipment and Tools for Kizimbani Unguja and Matangatuani Pemba as the follow: S/N Description of Goods Quantity Destination (Project Site) Soil Laboratory research Equipment Various Kizimbani Unguja and Matangatuani Pemba Tissue Culture Laboratory Equipment Various Entomology Laboratory Equipment Various Pathology Laboratory Equipment Various Bidders may Bid for one or all lots, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one lots will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers Fifth Edition of September 2023 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
