Fire Alarm and Portable Extinguisher Maintenance

What the buyer is asking for

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (SYFRS) has a requirement to procure new Contractor arrangements to support the delivery of its Fire Engineering services, periodic maintenance services. The procurement exercise will establish a Contractor arrangement for the planned and responsive maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems across the SYFRS property portfolio, also included are the portable fire extinguishers: servicing and general maintenance work. This procurement is reserved for suppliers with a substantive business presence within the S or DN postcode areas. Suppliers must be able to demonstrate that they operate from premises located within these postcode areas and that the contract will be delivered from that local business presence. Responses from suppliers that do not meet this requirement will not be evaluated. Bidders must provide the address of their local office or depot and explain how that location will support contract delivery. Reservation of this procurement is in accordance with Section 84 of the Procurement Act 2023 and PPN 005 (Reserving Below-Threshold Procurements).
