New Allotment Site - Tuttles Lane West, Wymondham - Site Infrastructure Works

What the buyer is asking for

Wymondham Town Council is inviting competitive tenders for site infrastructure works associated with the proposed new allotment site at Land North of Tuttles Lane West, Wymondham, Norfolk, under planning application 2026/2374. The works comprise: Package A: site entrance from Tuttles Lane West, access road, passing places, formation, sub-base, surfacing, drainage, reinstatement and shared car park, including accessible parking spaces and associated hedge works; Package B: approximately 2m high deer-proof perimeter fencing and gates; Package C: common access areas, mown grass paths, minor groundworks, waste removal and final reinstatement; and Package D: optional landscaping and biodiversity works, including native hedging, grassland/meadow and ecological features. Tenderers are invited to price each package individually, the total of the individual packages and the whole project. The Council reserves the right to award the works as a single contract or as separate packages, subject to value for money and the Council's procurement requirements. The planning application remains under consideration at the date of this tender. The tender is being undertaken to obtain competitive prices and establish the anticipated cost of the works. Any contract award and commencement of works will be subject to the necessary planning permission and other statutory, regulatory and third-party approvals. The Council reserves the right to require reasonable amendments to the scope following the planning decision, defer award or commencement, or decide not to proceed with any part of the works. The works exclude individual allotment plot preparation and cultivation, plot fencing and divisions, individual plot sheds or greenhouses, borehole and pump installation, water tanks and distribution infrastructure, and communal buildings, storage and associated fit-out.
