It is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made to any parties responding to the sources sought announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is to conduct market research to locate interested, experienced and potential qualified constructions firms capable of completing this project. Firm must identify their socio-economic status for NAICS Code 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Airconditioning Contractors. The appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238220 with the applicable business size of $19.0 million. The project cost range is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: Executive Summary 1. This contract is for CONSTRUCTION services for the work required address identified deficiencies within 6 clean supply rooms at Buildings 51, 52, and 53 at the St. Louis Medical Center, Jefferson Barracks. The construction contract drawings and specifications were created by an ArchitectEngineer consultant designer (DESIGN-AIRE ENGINEERING, INC.). 2. Description: All associated construction work will correct HVAC deficiencies to ensure these rooms have proper air pressure relationships, temperature, humidity and air exchanges per the outlined directives. Scope of Work covers 6 rooms in the following buildings: B51 Mental Health (3Rooms), B52 Spinal Cord Injury (2 Rooms), and B53 Community Living Center (1 Room). The project includes correction in part or in whole of the following FCAs: 78420 and 78392. VASTLHCS' improvements will reduce energy consumption and green-house gas emission pursuant to Executive Orders 13423 and 13514. a. Building 51 i. Room 1A119 ii. Room 1E137 iii. Room 1W155A b. Building 52 i. Room 1N104 ii. Room 1S16 c. Building 53 i. Room 1N90 For all three buildings, the general scope of work will include: 1. Demolition and removal of existing electrical and mechanical components. 2. Basic architectural scope such as drywall work and suspended ceiling grid modifications. 3. Installation of new HVAC mechanical components, per the specifications and construction documents parameters. 3. Note: Contractor to abide by all work & requirements set in the final release for construction project drawings and specifications. The complete set of contract documents, which includes drawings and specifications, detail the complete scope of work for this project. 4. Project shall conform to all Records Management and Privacy Language END OF SCOPE OF WORK. The Government is not obligated, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought Synopsis Request.
